Performance
Nothing Phone has become quite popular in no time and there is a good reason for it – its approach towards design is quite unique and the User Interface (UI) is well designed for a useful as well as a simplified experience. So far, the company has launched 2 smartphones in the mid-range premium category – the Nothing Phone (1) and Phone 2. Now, the company is gearing up to announce another device – Phone 2a – targeted at consumers who are looking for a more affordable device. While the launch event is set for March 5, the company’s Phone 2a made a special appearance at MWC 2024 and I have to say, it looks refreshing.
Performance on the Nothing Phone (2a) has been taken care of by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC. This is a slightly customised version of the Dimensity 7200 and is paired with 12GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM. The company claims the chipset offers better performance than its counterpart Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Snapdragon 782G SoCs.
